Summary: This extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All processing happens locally in your browser.

1. Who We Are

The SocialBit AI Photo Prompt for WooCommerce extension is developed and maintained by

2. What Data the Extension Accesses

The extension reads publicly visible content from the web pages you visit, specifically:

  • Product names, prices, categories, descriptions, and SKUs displayed on WooCommerce store pages
  • Product thumbnail and full-size image URLs (publicly accessible)
  • Page structure to detect whether a page is a WooCommerce store, product page, or category page

This data is used exclusively to generate a prompt string and display the panel UI within your browser. None of this data leaves your device.

3. Data Storage

The extension uses Chrome’s built-in sync storage (chrome.storage.sync) to save your personal preferences:

  • Your custom prompt template
  • Your preferred AI tool (ChatGPT, Midjourney, DALL·E 3, or Clipboard)
  • Display preferences (auto-show bubble, products per page)

These preferences are stored by Chrome locally (and optionally synced across your Chrome-signed-in devices via Google’s infrastructure). We do not have access to this data.

4. Clipboard Access

When you click the generate button, the extension may copy your product image or prompt text to your clipboard using the browser’s standard Clipboard API.
This is a user-initiated action. We do not read from your clipboard.

5. Host Permissions (<all_urls>)

The extension requests access to all URLs because WooCommerce stores exist on any domain.
The content script only activates on pages that contain WooCommerce-specific HTML elements.
On non-WooCommerce pages, the script exits immediately without reading any content.

6. External Services

When you click Generate, the extension opens the AI tool of your choice in a new browser tab:

The prompt is passed as a URL parameter to these services. We are not responsible for how these third parties process your data.

7. Analytics & Tracking

This extension contains no analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry of any kind. We do not know how many times you use the extension or which pages you visit.

8. No Personal Data Collected

We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, device identifiers, or any other personal information through this extension.

9. Children’s Privacy

This extension is intended for WooCommerce store owners and digital marketers. It is not directed at children under the age of 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
